Article from Making Music, August 1987 |
Guitar
This Chord Of The Month was sent in by Matthew Armstrong of Alderley Edge (Alan Garner country). Matthew, your mystery chord is a 7/9 (no 5th), containing the root (on the A string), third and seventh notes of the scale. If it had a fifth as well, then it would be a major ninth. Try sliding it around a bit. Hurts your fingers after a while, doesn't it?
