Chord of the Month | |
GuitarArticle from Making Music, December 1987 |
A minor ninth. Not a terrifically unusual chord, and we've had similar before, but this is one of those shapes that's dead easy to play yet looks impressive when posing for the moody album sleeve. All right, the Christmas family snapshot, then. Sounds rather sweet as well. Don't play the bottom E. Barre the top three strings with your index finger, then make life easy by playing the D string with your ring finger, and the A with your little pinkie. Slide up, slide down. Is nice, yes?
