Fernandez RJB-55 Bass | |
Article from One Two Testing, June 1986 |
Question 1 : If you take the 'naz' out of 'Fernandez', you have an anagram of what name? Question 2: What does the JB stand for in this bass's model number? Question 3: why sell a copy of a Fender Jazz bass for more than the original? It's as good a copy as you could want; like the Telecaster across the page when tried out live it played well and sounded fine; just like a Fender Jazz. And though the red-and-white finish was a touch Rock with a capital Arrrgh, it covered a well-built guitar. Funnily enough, many of the parts on this bass were identical to ones on the Fender — also of Japanese origin — any guesses how close the two production lines are? But it's sadly overpriced at an RRP of £421. It may be discounted in the shops, but so are Fenders. Question 4: If you wanted a Jazz bass would you buy a) an expensive fake, or b) the real thing, cheaper. Answers on a stamped addressed Strat, please.
FERNANDEZ RJB-55 bass: £421
