Not much space this month for idle banter so I'll get right down to business.
Rose-Morris/Clarion Competition Winner
Mark G. Atkins of Southampton, Hants receives the prize of a Clarion 4-track recorder. The correct answers were: (1) 9.5cm/sec (2) True (3) Chrome (4) +8dB (5) XA5 30W/channel (6) 54dB. Many thanks to all those who entered. If you're still trying to win a 4-track, there's another chance next month if you enter our exciting TDK competition (see below for preview). Still on the subject of competitions, we'll publish the results of our Gateway Studio Course competition next month, OK. Hang on to your seats till then.

Upcoming issues are going to be jam-packed with review goodies I suspect since the Big Boys - Yamaha and Roland - are launching some superb looking (on paper at least) recording products at the Frankfurt Music Fair in February. A rundown of Yamaha's new products appears on page 6, and I can quickly tell you that there's a superb Digital Reverb, MIDI Delay and mini studio effects system on its way from Roland!
Talking British, there's a brand new low-cost Accessit module from Bandive that everyone would like to call an 'aural exciter' but can't as the name is trademarked by Aphex. Glad to see so many companies that are bringing studio quality effects to the home user
