Don't miss them!
by Ben | 27th Jan 2018
We've just added a new editorial piece about E&MM from Dan Goldstein, former Editor, and as well as highlighting it, I wanted to give a special mention to the Editor Notes in general.
If you haven't seen them, in addition to Dan's piece we have pieces written by former editors and founders of Music Techology, Sound On Sound, Home Studio Recording, and Electronic Soundmaker (and hopefully more to come).
You can find them on the home page - clicking on the "A Note from..." title expands the mag panel to display the editorial piece (and clicking the title again hides them).
You can also find them on the main publications' issue page, and again, clicking on them reveals the text to read.
It's great to have some personal recollections from the people responsible for all the great content over the years, so don't miss them if you hadn't noticed them already.
While the magazine content is (bit by bit) being archived here, what we don't have much of are the stories behind the content - and there are plenty of good ones (how many of them are ever publishable though may be up for debate!).
I'm personally fascinated by this stuff, how these magazines were put together, and I'd like to extend an invitation to anyone who was involved in these publications - founders, editors, publishers, article authors, photographers - I'd love to hear your stories, and if you have something to say regarding anything featured in the archive, I'd love to add your voice here, alongside the archive content, as we build it up over time.
So if you'd like to tell a story, or write a one-off or regular Guest Blog about your time on these publications, I'd *love* to be able to feature it here.
If so, please get in touch either using the Feedback form, via email, or Twitter @mu_zines.
Special thanks to Tim Goodyer (MT), Ian & Paul Gilby (SOS), Paul White (HSR), Joe Hosken (ES), and Dan Goldstein (E&MM) for their contributions.
