Now here's a coincidence. This is Brookside's Ron Dixon buying his son Mike a Fender Stratocaster at Frank Hessy's music shop in the centre of Liverpool (broadcast August 23rd). When I was 14, my Dad took me into Frank Hessy's and bought me... a Fender Stratocaster - sunburst, rosewood neck, white pickguard and tremolo. Ah well, at least Hessy's and the Strat became legends.
