Article from International Musician & Recording World, November 1986 | |
One thing our recent reader survey uncovered was the fact that some of you are still confused about the full capabilities of MIDI. Now, rather than cast aspersions about the full potential of your intellect, we've decided to answer your cry for help. That's why in the middle of this month's issue you'll find the IM&RW MIDI map.
If you thought the London Underground map was complicated, wait until you see this. You'll find more lines on the MIDI map than on Keith Richards' face. But rather than recalling a well-lived past, these lines show the full future of music systems and what you can now get out of them. MIDI is no longer on exclusive tool for the keyboard player, but a generally useful proposition for every instrumentalist.
Get on route with IM&RW's MIDI-map.
