G bass gives G11 (+5)
Start with a straight G major chord and then move to the chord shown here and you have Randy Crawford's "One Day I'll Fly Away". Keep the G in the bass and move up to G dim 7 (see issue 16) and you'll have Mel and Kim's "FLM" which can be completed by G7 and working back through the progression.
