RESOLUTIONS

Article from Phaze 1, February 1989

RESOLUTIONS are what the new year is supposed to be all about. Like every other section of the population, musicians write little reminders to themselves on scraps of paper, and promptly lose them. Typical messages are as follows: start turning up at rehearsals on time, stop wanting to play over-indulgent solos, start saving for a decent keyboard stand, stop swearing at that meat-head of a drummer. And so on. This year, however, many musicians have confined their soon-to-be-ignored resolution to a single, succinct line: stop singing 'Cat Among the Pigeons' in public.
