Article from Making Music, May 1986 |
Brinvarg the Codrigan coughed across the room with a voice like falling toast. "You seem not to understand, Earth Editor Paul Colbert. We of the planet Codriga have certain needs, certain hungers not known on your puny globe. We would be satisfied of these hungers ape-cousin, we would be satiated."
Smiling through his freshly tanned moustache, Assistant Editor Tony Bacon spoke up: "Braanigh afrgeu hehe thandara".
"Tough botty", replied Brinvarg, "this story's being written in Codrigan, so it's you who comes across as the pillock with the broken tongue. How does it feel earthfungus?"
For the first time Reviews Editor Jon Lewin raised his eyes from the bowl of lichen and bus ticket soup (Codrigan speciality) and proferred a solution. "What if we let you have the poster of Una Stubbs and the pocket pack of Nik Kershaw playing cards (life size)?".
