This is a floor-mounted multi effects pedalboard, boasting 25 separate effects grouped into five modules (Pre-amp, EQ, Modulation, Delay and Reverb), which are used to create the 40 user and 40 preset patch locations available on the Player Pro. It is possible to combine effects from each of these modules with compression, dynamics and digital noise reduction, giving up to eight effects at any one time.
The built-in volume and expression pedals (assignable to virtually all of the on-board effects) allow one to vary distortion or change wah or pitch with the expression pedal, while simultaneously adjusting the volume without changing reverb and delay characteristics. MIDI out facilities allow the sending of program changes in real-time.

JBL Professional has introduced EON 10 and EON 15, two compact, two-way speaker enclosures designed for a wide range of music sound reinforcement, karaoke, and commercial sound applications. Both EON speakers offer high performance, low distortion, exceptionally durable construction, and astonishingly low weight.
The EON 10 incorporates a JBL 10" bass driver and a 1" high frequency compression driver, coupled to a 90° x 60° bi-radial horn. Power handling is rated at 125 watts, and total system weight is less than 20 pounds.
The larger and more powerful EON 15 features a high-excursion 15" JBL low frequency transducer in combination with a 1.75" high frequency driver. The EON 15 is rated at a healthy 250 watts power handling, yet total system weight is under 36 pounds.

This intriguing new technology is truly a symptom of the desktop age! In a self-contained unit, the CD-Maker has an independent platform and operating system, obviating the need for PC support. It is multiformat and networkable, makes CDs that are usable on any CD-ROM reader, is lightweight, and is able to create CDs in ISS09660, HFS, CD-TV, CD-I, CD-DA (audio) and Unix formats. At its maximum expansion, with DAT recorder and four CD drives, the CD-Maker can record audio (from DAT), and churn out four CDs simultaneously, allowing productivity of up to 16 full CDs per hour.

RCF have launched the DWM series of VHF high band wireless microphones, which incorporate Tone Lock Squelch circuitry, which reduces interference from other radio microphone systems used locally. Available as hand held (WM WOO), or belt pack lavelier (WM 3300) transmitters, both microphones utilise high quality Audio Technica capsules. The receiver (DR 1000) can be rack mounted. Sophisticated circuitry and low noise characteristics enable simultaneous multi channel operation (apparently) without interference. The DC supply comes from an external AC supply and can 'piggy back' a second receiver, giving hum-free and safe operation.

The Akai DR8 is capable of high-quality 16-bit linear 8-track simultaneous recording and playback, with extensive editing facilities. The 1GB hard disk allows allows up to three hours and 17 minutes of recording time (24.625 minutes x 8 tracks at a sampling frequency of 44.1 kHz). It can have an optional extra hard disk installed, or its SCSI allows connection to an external hard disk. The DR8's digital interface allows data recorded on the hard disk to be backed up to DAT.
In future upgrades, you will be able to record and play back with the DR8 connected to an external MO (magneto-optical) disk drive (4-track simultaneous recording/8-channel simultaneous playback). Moreover, you will be able to simultaneously operate up to seven DR8s without a synchronizer (separately sold AL-X50 cables are required), to increase the number of tracks to a maximum of 56!

Intended to supplement the output of smaller nearfield monitors such as PMC's TB1S, which it feeds as satellites. Requiring no additional electronics or amplifiers, the XB1 can be placed out of sight and helps solve the problems of space and cost by offering full frequency, high quality, high SPL monitoring.
The XB1 uses a 250mm, dual voice coil, cast driver, which electrically sums the bass signal from each stereo channel. Unlike single voice coil designs, this avoids diverse effects caused by the interaction of the two channel amplifiers. The unit features a rigid, piston-like cone, two layer, long-throw voice coil and double rear suspension for high power handling.
A 12 element stereo crossover network centred on 100Hz filters the low frequencies for the driver, and derives a left and right feed, minus LF, for the satellite speakers. The crossover utilises high current, low-loss capacitors and inductors. All internal wiring is implemented using oxygen free copper (OFC) cable. The monitors can accept up to 200 Watts, and have a usable frequency response of 25-200Hz.

The EON MusicMix 10 mixer offers a total of ten input channels. Six inputs accept either microphone inputs on XLR connectors, or line-level signals on 1/4" phone jacks. Each microphone input channel is equipped with input trim control, non-interactive 3-band equalization, effects send, pre-fader monitor send, pan control, signal present and peak overload LED indicators and a 60mm level fader. The two stereo line inputs are provided with both RCA phono and 1/4" unbalanced inputs, 2-band equalization, effects sends and monitor sends. Phantom powering for condenser microphones is provided on all microphone inputs.
Key specifications for the EON MusicMix mixer include a maximum system voltage gain of 74dB (mic input to main output), EIN of -128.5dB, THD (20Hz to 20kHz) of less than 0.005%, maximum input level of +22dBu, and rated output level of +4dBu. The equalization section provides 12dB of boost or cut at 63Hz, 2.5kHz and 12.5KHz. Weight is only 14 pounds.
JBL also introduced EON SoundMix, a mono output 10-channel mixer designed principally for use in schools, churches and other commercial sound applications calling for a rugged, easy-to-operate PA mixer.
Although similar in most respects to EON MusicMix, the SoundMix version has auto trim on all mic inputs (allowing inputs as high as +22dBu without overload), 2-band equalization on all channels, and non-interactive auto summing to mono on the stereo input channels (for CD and tape players). For monitoring, a post-fader monitor send is included. Performance specifications, are identical to the EON MusicMix version.

Hot Foot is a programmable, footswitch-able pedalboard offering MIDI control of effects units, synths, samplers and lighting rigs. Essentially Hot Foot's eight foot pedals act as a series of simple sequencers, each playing back one of a number of short sequences as the pedals are pressed or released. Up to 150 strings of MIDI commands may be stored in Hot Foot's memory in any order, in eight banks of eight groups.
Within each performance memory, each pedal may be assigned to up to four commands, with up to 64 bytes of MIDI data assignable to a command. Each pedal will then operate in one of three modes: Press and release: Press/release on, press/release off; or Press, hold and release. Hot Foot will handle any mix of messages within a command, and display them in clear text rather than numbers. Furthermore, memories may be saved to a battery-backed data card.
