Rather cute, don't you think? It's the Framus Super Yob, a one-off made for Dave Hill of Slade in 1974. The group were making a Film called "Flame" at the time, and Framus offered to come up with some wild instruments specially for the flick. This they did, and the Super Yob is actually a Framus copy of Dave's original Yob which British guitar maker John Birch had built. The Story goes that a few years later, man-of-taste Hill chopped both original and copy in for a Gibson Firebird - a PX he apparently soon regretted. We can see why: after all, you can buy a Firebird any time.
