The HousemartinsArticle from Making Music, December 1987 | |

This month, it's time to win a signed copy of The Housemartins' new 12in single 'Build'. We have in our possession two copies, each hand signed by all four members of the said pop group. As Stan the Housemartin will explain, these are well desirable objects, and not just for the biro scrawl all over the back. "These will be rare items, because they pulled this version back from the shops. They have the album cut of 'The Light Is Always Green' instead of the 'cheap' version. The new batch of 12-inchers have the 'cheap' version. Rare!"
So, geographical thinking caps on. Answer these two questions:
1. What is the home town of The Housemartins?
2. Name three of the towns visited by The Housemartins on their recent British tour.
And now you want a clue as well? Well, one is in Humberside, and two is in here. Good enough? Right.
Write your answers and your name and address on a postcard, and send it to The Very Rare Withdrawn Housemartins Single Competition, Making Music, (Contact Details), to reach us by 11th December. First two correct entries out the big sack win the rare ones. Go to it.
