Win Elvis | |
Article from Making Music, August 1987 | |

Elvis Presley died ten years ago this month, sniff sniff. To commemorate this sad occasion, Pickwick Records — purveyors of extreme value recordings to the populace — have bunged us a complete set of their Elvis albums to give away to you nice people. This means 13 albums, completely chokka with great songs. OK, there may be one or two turkeys, but for every 'Sing You Children' there are 20 classics like 'Heartbreak Hotel', 'Blue Suede Shoes', and 'Do The Clam'. To win this deeply groovy prize, you must answer these three easy questions:
1) Who was the guitarist in Elvis' first band?
2) Who was his manager?
3) Name at least two other musical Presleys
"A certain type of audience likes me... I'd be a fool to tamper with that kind of success"Elvis Presley
Answers on a postcard please to Mr Pickwick's Generous Competition, Making Music, (Contact Details). The winner will be plucked from Making Music's competition entries' cardboard box some time next month.
