Article from International Musician & Recording World, February 1986 | |
There maybe a couple of things puzzling you about this month's issue.
To begin with, regular readers will have noticed the second appearance of 'February' on the front cover. The reason? So great is the volume of news at this time of year that we've squeezed in an extra issue — titled Late February/Frankfurt — to pass on as much of it as possible before the Frankfurt Music Fair later this month; as well as a detailed preview of the fair's highlights, we've also secured a few reviews of some of the major show releases, like Yamaha's DX100 and Lexicon's PCM 70.
The other news isn't quite so good — a cover price increase. It's been over a year and half since the last increase and paper costs etc etc still haven't got any cheaper. In that time though, IM&RW has grown so that today we still offer more editorial (and more advertising) pages than any other musician's magazine, and we know you'll agree it's worth paying that little extra...
