Article from International Musician & Recording World, September 1986 | |
From Letters received it would appear that not everyone manages to obtain every issue of 'NewsLink'.
If you have any problems because IM was sold out at your Newsagent or because you don't live near a Roland Dealer we can send your copy direct by mail. Just complete the form on the back page, (Tony Horkins, editor of IM, suggests that you might like to take out an IM subscription at the same time but then he would, wouldn't he!)
Other letters ask if we can produce a crossword that people can actually do, so this time I decided to compile one myself and make it really easy! I quickly began to appreciate the problems that Jim and David, the previous compilers (to whom I am grateful), had because it's far harder to actually compile a crossword than to solve one, especially when relating the clues to music in general or Roland and Boss in particular.
I've taken the easy way out this time and devised a 'hidden word' competition but if you think you could compile a crossword, or any other type of competition, we will send a Roland T-shirt for every half reasonable effort - just tell us the size. If we publish your effort we'll even send a Sweat-shirt.
Remember, don't make it too difficult or obscure, and send it to the competition address printed below. Copyright becomes property of Roland (UK) Ltd.
