It may not have escaped your notice that figuring prominently amongst the aforesaid is a lenghty resume on the art of making music with a Commodore 64.
Computer music is increasingly thrusting itself into people's awareness. Making creative music using a conventional home micro is not yet easy — but then neither is negotiating the north face of the Eiger on a unicycle.
Technology, nevertheless, comes to the rescue. It has not yet developed a satisfactory machine for pedalling up mountains, but the Microsound 64 — reviewed this issue — goes a long way to emancipate computer music from the boffinry of PEEKs and POKEs and machine code.
