This is the first issue of our new-look Roland Newslink. We plan to publish every quarter to keep you informed on the latest Roland and Boss products, who is using them and how.

We have received many enquiries asking us to organise a Roland users' club. Frankly, we have resisted this on the basis that administration and politics would take over.

What we would like is for you to regard this magazine as your own Roland and Boss users' club and information exchange.

Your tips, ideas, synth patches, queries and requests are actively welcomed and, wherever possible, will be reflected in each issue of Roland Newslink. Please regard Newslink as yours as much as ours. We see ourselves as one member of a team — you, the musicians, are the other members and Newslink is, as its name implies, our two-way 'interface'.

As this goes to press new lines are already being delivered to the main dealers, including the Boss Micro Rack Series, the DSD-2 Pedal and the HP-100 Piano — all featured in this edition.

Ail of these and more (including the new Digital Drum Kit) will be shown at the British Music Fair at Olympia. Public days are 2nd, 3rd, and 4th August and a professional seven man demonstration team will be working throughout each day. Please be our guests—we look forward to seeing you on stand G-1.
