One For The 7

DX7 Patch

Article from Electronic Soundmaker & Computer Music, May 1985

The ES&CM Voice patch for the DX7.

This is a very interesting patch as it uses two operators at fixed frequencies, simulating the predetermined sizes of our two echo chambers - the mouth and the chest. Programmed in such a way that the optimum realism is achieved in the bottom two octaves, this is primarily the voice of a baritone.
